Cuddle pad with tags and Paci Ring

If you have any Idea what this thing should actually be called then please, Let me know!

There's a lot of new babies being born right now so I am trying to come up with some easy, but cute gift ideas. If they don't break the bank then that's an added bonus!

What you'll Need:
  • Square or rectangle of Cute cotton ( I used broadcloth from the clearance section $2.50/M)
  • Square or rectangle of minke or fleece (Remnant 1/4M for $3)
  • Ribbons (Leftovers from the Dollarama and Michaels)
  • Velcro (On hand, I only needed 1/4")
Measure out what size of Cuddle pad you want, I traced a book that is approx. 9x11.5" but make it any size you'd like. Cut 2-3" lengths of ribbon, and one 6" piece for the pacifier strap.  I just cut approximate lengths. Fold the ribbon in half, hitting it with the iron will help it stay folded and make the next step a bit easier.

Pin the two pieces of fabric right sides together slipping a piece of ribbon inside the seam, leave a small opening for turning right side out. Sew all around the edge with a 1/4" seam allowance then turn rightside out.

Fold in the seam and push out the corners. Using a long pair of scissors or chopstick works great for this! Then sew a 1/4" seam all around the outside edge to extra secure all the ribbons and close the opening

For the Paci strap cut velcro the width of your ribbon and stitch on. You can also use a snap. BUT make sure to keep the ribbon nice and short. You don't want it long enough to wrap around babes neck. Safety first :-D

Play away!
If you decide to make this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me pictures and let me know how it went!
